Immerse yourself in 3 days of knitting with others of like mind. Countrywool Retreats are fashioned to allow
for total relaxation while you make new friends
and learn new knitting skills.
November in the Catskill Mountains can bring a few snowflakes to start off the late Fall season, and the nights can be brisk, with the days mild and sunny.
Start and end your day with a swim in the indoor pool,
or a hike on a mountain trail.

Classes take place in the Carriage House:

which will be open 24 hours for the weekend,
and stocked with drinks/snacks.

A Knitting Massage Therapist will be on site.

Come and unwind in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
Those of you who are new to seamless knitting will enjoy the cameraderie
of a great supportive group, and those of you who are confirmed knitaholics
will enjoy some new techniques.

materials

Class projects will include a hat and/or a sweater,
in either a child or adult size.

All hats and sweaters are knit with PEACE FLEECE
or Baby Ull (used double)

Yarns, needles and notions needed

Soviet-American wool/mohair PEACE FLEECE yarn
(4 ounces/200 yards) in amounts needed for sweater size:
from 2 skeins for children to 12 skeins for xxx-large adults

OR 1 skein for hat project only

Circular needle and double pointed needles in size 6:

in 16" lengths for hat
in 16" and 24" lengths for kid sweaters
in 16" and 32-40" for adult sweaters

Clip-type ring markers (or teeny safety pins) - 4.
Double ended stitch holders. At least 5 for sweater.
Darning needle. Bent tip is easier to use if you are buying new.
Gauge ruler
Measuring tape
Your Knitting Notebook!!!

Bring: favorite sweater's ACTUAL finished measurement,
or bring the sweater and we'll measure together.

Yarn and needles for all projects
will be available at the workshop.
